Dancing Light is the title of Annalisa Ferraris’ most recent solo exhibition. A curiosity of Ferraris’ is the constant motion of light through space, passing through empty rooms, dancing through windows and upon surfaces each day. Light has been an ever-present subject in Ferraris’ work, often noted through the absence of light and the formation of shadow. These recent works however, are bleached in light, dissolving the hard-lines created by shadow in her previous work. Dancing Light is softer and further abstracted, illuminated by a deluge of light.
Ferraris graduated from the National Art School in 2011 and attended Central Saint Martins Summer School in London in 2014, since which her career has flourished, featuring regularly in major Australian art prizes, and design publications.
Opening Event: Saturday 25 November, 2 – 4pm.
