Benjamin Prabowo Sexton’s A Timeless Watch is an exhibition, a photographic slide show and artist talk, that will present a narrated catalogue of images found and taken by the artist. The presentation will reflect on the decline in average human attention span in an image saturated world, interweaving personal anecdotes and observations. Like much of Sexton’s recent work, the slideshow will play with juxtapositions between verbal and visual communication, and the gaps that can occur between their form and content, intention and effect. Non-linear and conversational in form, the presentation will invite reflections on how we pay attention to images and the ephemeral conditions that can shift how we experience them.

In addition to the artist talk, Sexton will exhibit a selection of new photographic works, unique silver gelatin prints combining painting and documentary photography, with language also introduced into the picture field.
