Blanchflower’s minimal works are meditative and conceptually powerful in their reductivity, offering evidence of a life-long act of seeing, reflecting and relaying. Commencing this series in 1985 the Canopies have become markers of his life journey.

It features a large-scale triptych through to a small painted box work, and this variance in many ways encapsulates the essence of Blanchflower’s studio practice and remarkable career.
