Tania Major and Noleen Cecil, New Ghost, 2024. Acrylic on canvas.
Celebrating the vibrant arts and cultural heritage of Queensland’s First peoples, the 16th Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF) will present an exciting program from Thursday 11 July to Sunday 13 July 2025, in the lush botanical precinct of Gimuy / Cairns, Tanks Arts Centre (The Tanks).
CIAF’s 2025 program, featuring primarily free and ticketed events, is brimming with highlights that will transform the Tanks’ three repurposed World War II oil tanks and its rainforest surrounds into a celebration of the Country’s most eminent First Nations artists and activists.
With more than 600 visual artists and 150 performers involved, the 2025 program spans visual and performing arts, masterclasses, cultural demonstrations, talks, awards, fashion, a curated eat street and more. CIAF also offers an esteemed Collectors Program and VIP On Country Program, hosted by internationally recognised First Nations artist, Tony Albert and curator, Bruce Johnson Mclean.
