Heliocentric is the much anticipated new body of work from celebrated Australian artist, Cameron Robbins. This series of ‘solar drawings’ extends upon Robbins’ practice of transcribing the forces and rhythms of nature into tangible works through kinetic sculpture, drawing, and long exposure photography. In Heliocentric, the artist captures movements of the sun, the centre of our universe, as a collection of gestural, machine made drawings.
The exhibition opening will be held on the 8th of November, 5 – 7pm, followed by a viewing of the Total Lunar Eclipse on the MARS rooftop. Cameron Robbins will present an artist talk beneath his sculptural installation, Anemograph, as the eclipse begins.
