Sullivan+Strumpf presents Daniel Crooks‘ new solo exhibition Machine Drawing. Marking his first solo exhibition with the gallery, Machine Drawing saw Crooks design and construct a unique drawing machine based on algorithmic programming.
The aim was to render the kinds of temporal extrusions materialised in his sculptures but in graphic form. This endeavour is bound to the prevailing focus of Crooks‘ work: confronting the human experience of time, acknowledging that it may in fact work very differently to how we perceive it.
