Shaw chooses fashion as her primary foundation. She sees fashion as more than clothing, more than status but rather as an intricate part of our social armour, our self esteem and our very nature. For this reason she seeks to translate the rarified, exotic and arcane world of fashion into visceral visual moments in time, accessible to everyone’s eye. Also working with nature, architecture and abstract, Shaw strives to simplify, examine and report the beauty that she sees all around her. Her art practice is growing and evolving. She works daily developing new directions and insisting on the best methods of production.
