Erin Mison’s work draws on an evolving and life long desire to understand people. The artist works predominantly with textiles, using hand operated tufting guns with both natural and synthetic yarn to create ornamental tapestries. Mison’s work explores themes of identity curation, sexuality and socio-cultural anthropology, taking universal, familiar yet private stories and re-telling them in evocative pieces.
Opening Event: Friday 25 August, 6 – 8pm.
