Crossing brings together work completed over the last decade by one of the region’s most acclaimed artists, Fran O’Neill. Having built a significant international career for her evocative and vibrant abstract paintings, O’Neill has now permanently established her studio in the idyllic surrounds of Cheshunt, Victoria. Crossing traces O’Neill’s longing for ‘home’ in her years as an ex-pat in North America, the development of her colour palette and the new work created in response to the quality of light and atmosphere of her Cheshunt studio.

The exhibition takes its starting point from early seminal work Crossing, 2014, now held in the Wangaratta Art Gallery collection.
