Genevieve Carroll‘s energetic and vivid oil paintings combine her observations of being in the natural world and the genre of still life painting.

“Still life objects are at the heart of my paintings that normally in this genre are portrayed as inanimate,” says the artist, “but my interests lie in the emotion of our existence using colour and the idea of the instability of nature that we are a part of, a mutability one might say”.
