OLSEN gallery celebrates 30 years in 2023. With the inaugural show opening June 1993 (a collection of works by William Rose) in the Elizabeth Street gallery, director Tim Olsen moved to a larger space on Paddington Street and then to the current, architecturally designed site, on Jersey Road in June 2007.

With over 900 exhibitions both here and in New York, our philosophy is still to support artists that embrace the traditional practice of drawing and painting as a timeless and pertinent medium together with the emerging importance of photography and installation.

To celebrate this milestone we have asked our talented stable of artists to all create new works that measure 30 x 30 (ish) cm.

Exhibited artists include David Band, Michelle Cawthorn, Stephen Bird, Eva Nolan, Jacqui Stockdale, Kenny Pittock, Allie Webb, Eliza Gosse, Claudia Damichi, Anna-Wili Highfield, Tim Georgeson and Christina Zimpel.
