Hazelhurst Arts Centre’s major new exhibition, In the Arms of Unconsciousness: Women, Feminism and the Surreal, features 22 leading female Australian artists, including Del Kathryn Barton, Jill Orr, Patricia Piccinini, Julie Rrap, Deborah Kelly, Caroline Rothwell, Juz Kitson and Vivienne Binns.

Featuring newly commissioned and recent works, including some which have yet to be seen by Australian audiences, the exhibition includes a captivating collection of paintings, ceramics, photography, sculpture, video works, drawings and collage.
