Justin Art House Museum (JAHM) presents PAPER: The Permanence of the Temporary, an exhibition showcasing an array of paper-based works. Included is a broad range of art practices including drawing, painting, printing, linocut, collage, paper mâché, sculpture, photography and digital. The exhibition explores the temporal and fragile nature of paper, and how this contrasts with the permanence associated with art.
By examining a selection of some of the 60 artists presented in JAHM’s fully guided seated tour, you will get an appreciation of the huge variety and ephemeral yet permanent nature of paper-based works in an increasingly digital age.
In addition, recent acquisitions to the JAHM collection are displayed in the upstairs apartment, which can be enjoyed and discussed over refreshments. These works include challenging AI generated paintings, conceptual and media-based art, as well as dramatic works in abstraction.
