The annual Archibald Prize is eagerly anticipated by artists and audiences alike. Judged by the trustees of the Art Gallery of NSW, the prize is awarded to the best portrait painting. Since 1921, it has highlighted figures from all walks of life, from famous faces to local heroes, reflecting back to us the stories of our times.
Following their display at the Art Gallery in Sydney, the Archibald Prize 2024 finalist works will tour to venues across NSW and, for the first time, the Northern Territory, offering audiences outside Sydney the opportunity to see these notable works.
This exhibition will be ticketed and on sale from Friday 1 November. Tickets can be pre-purchased, and we encourage you to secure yours early to avoid disappointment.
