An exhibition by James Tylor in collaboration with Rebecca Selleck, Warpulyainthi is an installation of a colonial kitchen with edible flora and fauna from the Kaurna Nation cast in bronze. The furniture is carved into with Kaurna motifs from the Kuri ceremony, and the photographs of the Kaurna landscape are overlayed with the same design.
The installation is an important reminder of our past and its masked histories, as well as the strength of First Nation’s peoples and cultures.
Opening event: 16 November 6pm – 8pm
