Son of celebrated Australian artist Arthur Boyd, Jamie Boyd studied at the Central School of Art and Design in music and composition, graduating in 1960.
Having lived most of his adult life in London, Boyd returns to Australia periodically for exhibitions and painting expeditions. This new body of work reflects the enduring influences of the Australian landscape, in particular that most familiar and fond around the Shoalhaven where his parents Arthur and Yvonne’s Bundanon estate lies. Continuing the extraordinary Boyd dynasty, he is a master colourist accomplished in a variety of mediums. His paintings reflect an almost dreamlike quality and impressionistic influence evidenced in his use of tone and light.
Opening Event: Saturday 15 April, 4 – 6pm.
