OLSEN proudly presents Here, There and Nowhere, an exhibition of works by gallery artist Janis Clarke. Propelled by his sell-out debut exhibition and inclusion in Sydney Contemporary Art Fair, Clarke graces our walls once more with a collection of new paintings.

“These paintings never tell the full story. Instead, they offer pieces of here, there and nowhere, just as our perceptions do. They reveal places and moments that are both real and imagined. Real for me, because I have seen them, and imagined, because I have painted them.

Superfluous visual noise is edited out and everything is given an equal weight. They embody my seeing through a shifting lens that does not aim to understand, but to record my perceptions of passing moments that occur here, there and nowhere.” Janis Clarke
