In Umbrella Studio Contemporary Arts’ new exhibition, Jenny Tyack has drawn a thread from the past to the present in the way that women have been seen as visual icons such as hags, witches and enchantresses. Tyack explores this dynamic with the actual roles women have taken, holding families together, mending and stitching, doing the necessary to bring the broken together.
