John R Walker‘s recent work draws on a growing sense of connectedness of the various places he has gotten to know. These paintings are of places special to Walker, based in and around Wiradjuri Country. Earthprints is the accumulation of his time over the past few years in this land, observing, listening and documenting.

“For all the differences between the limestone country of Borenore, the granite country of Braidwood and the ancient Ediacaran rock country of the Flinders Ranges, there are threads that unite them. – John R Walker, 2023.

This exhibition is intended to coincide with a major survey exhibition Journeys & Return held at Orange Regional Gallery, curated by director Brad Hammond, from the 25th November.
