Sullivan+Strumpf  presents the debut solo exhibition of multi-disciplinary Gadigal/Sydney-based artist Julia Gutman, Muses. Following her selection as a finalist in the 2021 Ramsay Prize at the Art Gallery of South Australia and the 2020 NSW Visual Arts Emerging Fellowship at Artspace Sydney for her ambitious textile-based works, Gutman has fast become one of Sydney’s most exciting early career artists. Marking her first solo show in Australia, the exhibition explores ‘the muse’ as both mythological figure and person, and re-visioning them as an active force in the process of creation.
