Australian artist Liv Enqvist explores the scientific concept of ‘String Theory’, which suggests that all particles are connected by vibrating strings, creating an invisible web that unites the universe. This idea parallels the structure of small communities, where individuals are bound together through shared rhythms. These themes of interconnectedness are woven through her meditative hand embroidered textile artworks, created on materials collected from across the globe, to speak to the shared human experience of connection.
Her practice, influenced by her background in art, design, and global studies, celebrates the threads that bind us to each other and to the world around us and invites us to reflect on the universal ties that remind us of our place in a vast, interconnected whole.
