An exceptionally talented artist with a fastidious eye for detail, Lucienne Rickard presents two hauntingly beautiful bodies of work brought together under the motif of “threads”.
Those present in her biro mark-making and charcoal impressions are an intricate record of time passing and an examination of death through themes of obsolescence and fragility. Rickard seeks to preserve the seemingly mundane moments and objects of life through her hand drawn stitches and marks, as if to protect them from dissolving into the flux of time.
Opening Event: Thursday 9 November, from 5.30pm.
