In The Good Life, Mark Tweedie returns to Carnarvon, the coastal town of his childhood, revisiting its sun-bleached streets and layered memories after three decades away. Developed during a 2024 residency, this body of work traces the emotional contours of place – where personal histories, fading dreams and quiet acts of remembrance converge. Drawing on family memories, recurring dreams and fragments of local ephemera, Tweedie weaves a tender portrait of a bygone era marked by innocence, freedom and the quiet poetry of everyday life.
Opening event: Saturday 28 June, 2-4pm
