PIERMARQ* presents new work by Spanish artist, Nacho Eterno.
Eterno is a self-taught painter and ceramist. Formerly a tattooist and muralist in Barcelona, his work is influenced by nature, primitive art, folk art, architecture, and art brut. Eterno’s work exudes an enigmatic charm, featuring unique characters and animals entwined with abstract elements and vibrant colours. The gritty texture and overlapping patterning add an organic aspect to the work, as if it has been unearthed from a time capsule. Beyond the playful facade, the work explores the history of artefacts and storytelling.
Eterno (b. 1992) lives and works in Girona, Spain. He has exhibited widely in Spain and has forthcoming exhibitions in Europe, New York and Sydney in 2025.
