Through this new body of work, Naomi Hobson builds a narrative around threatened species, climate change, environmental damage – what has been lost and can be lost.
“Country provides the space and clarity that allow me to experience the vastness, diversity, and to cultivate the present moment. When I am in nature, I feel belonged, accepted, real and loved. My traditional country allows me to be me, and to participate in life, this is my culture; and the beauty of culture means that through my work I can take care of the details, applying what I already know, and discovering new things along the way.” – Naomi Hobson, 2024.
