“The built environment is a key feature of Radovic’s work, particularly the behind-the-scenes views of construction sites. Influenced by the utilitarian edges of a structure rather than the polished façade, Radovic draws from his experience growing up in Dubai and time spent working in the construction industry. ‘My work currently oscillates between romantic notions of painting and technological processes. I apply the ready-made approach and paint in the CMYK four-colour scheme. It’s a technique in dialogue with the standardisation of the material and digital environment. The paintings cannot be reduced to a set of instructions and the pre-eminence of the digital cannot be refuted by handicraft.'”
