CASSANDRA BIRD presents a solo exhibition of new work by Sydney based artist, Remy Faint.

This exhibition presents the dynamic practice of Remy Faint, who’s work seeks to expand the boundaries of painterly abstraction through a profound investigation of its global histories. Grounded in a deep appreciation for his Chinese heritage, Faint skillfully incorporates collection-based objects and materials that resonate with his cultural narrative. Featuring an expansive suite of new works, including silk and fabric-based paintings alongside ceramic sculptures, The Tiger’s Eye examines concepts of hybridity, flux, and change through an artistic process rooted in cross-material and cultural references. The materiality of silk is acknowledged contextually, shifting between time, place, and function, offering a renewed perspective on the histories of representation and symbology.
