Tim Melville presents an exhibition of paintings and sculptures by Rob Gardiner.
The artist writes:
“I Feel Good”
(James Brown, 1965)
The words Feel and Good have important meanings.
I Feel in debt to all the artists I have known and from whom I have learned.
I Feel grateful to Tim Melville for showing my work in his Gallery.
I Feel things as in touch. I’m a tactile toucher in my material world.
I Feel things emotionally and in making art I feel fulfillment in the process of making.
I can Feel bad when things go wrong but have the choice to make it good.
To Feel is also to learn through one’s senses even before learning a language.
And it’s through how we Feel we know who we are.
