Nanda\Hobbs presents an exhibition by Perth artist Roger Swainston in their Project Space. One of the world’s foremost marine life artists He is celebrated for his vibrant and scientifically precise depictions of underwater ecosystems. With a career spanning over four decades, Swainston has collaborated with prestigious organisations such as the Smithsonian, United Nations FAO, CSIRO, and the French Ministry of Environment. His work has been featured in globally recognised scientific guides, and he co-founded the ANIMA Image Bank. His participation in scientific expeditions to remote locations like Clipperton Island, Mozambique, and Madagascar, have allowed him to document unique marine and terrestrial biodiversity.
Swainston’s contributions have been celebrated with major exhibitions, including the Natural History Museum of Nantes. His artwork has also been commissioned by Australia Post for national stamps.
