Ever inspired by nature, ceramicist Sandra Black combines abstract and organic shapes with fluid patterns to decorate her porcelain vessels. Over the last two pandemic years the studio became a place of refuge and reflection for Sandra. As Sandra says, “Solace is in memory of a special friendship, a shared final journey and a return to childhood landscapes of the coast and mountain. “Delicate scenes inspired by her childhood landscape of Western Australia dance across her porcelain forms, imbuing each piece with memory and meaning.
