After a successful showing at Sydney Contemporary, Void_Melbourne is pleased to present Suzie Idiens, The Warriors and The Missing.
Suzie Idiens is renowned for her geometric wall-mounted sculptures with highly reflective surfaces. Utilising industrial materials and a meticulous approach, she removes any trace of her hand from the creation process, until the pieces emerge as independent objects that mirror their surroundings and make the viewer integral to the work.

In her latest series, The Warriors and The Missing, Idiens introduces minimal monochrome objects coated in solid colours that seem to float away from the wall, contrasting with cast shadows while capturing all in their polished sheen.

Her process of reduction is central to her quest for clarity and precision in line and form, distilling complexities into singular shapes that seek to bring forth a quiet tension within each object. This focus on the interplay between objects, light, space, and the viewer emphasises the significance of concept and materiality in shaping the perceptual experience.
