To mark the artist’s 80th year, the Charles Nodrum Gallery presents a small survey exhibition of Trevor Vickers‘ work dating from the early 1970s to the present. With a catalogue introduction by Jenepher Duncan, we chart Vickers’ paintings on repurposed blinds (found in Foster with fellow artist and friend Mike Brown), through the Catalan Series of shaped paintings of the 1980s made while the artist lived in Brighton, UK, to the ‘window’ or ‘portal’ paintings of the last 15 years. Concurrently, the gallery presents a similar survey exhibition of works by Mike Brown, including several collaborations with Trevor Vickers.
Opening Event: Saturday 19 August, 3 – 5pm, including drinks with the artist.
