Yvette Hamilton is an Australian interdisciplinary artist working on Dharug and Gundungurra lands (Blue Mountains, NSW). The central focus of her practice is light and darkness and the associated states of knowing and not-knowing. Her works aim to engage viewers into a participatory exploration of vision by presenting things that are not what they seem. Working across expanded photography, installation, drawing and interactivity her works explore the unseen and the unphotographable, at a time when everything is seen and photographed.
