“In Ex Post Facto (Latin for ‘a thing done afterwards’), I present eight large-scale paintings – acrylic and oil on canvas.

Each piece finds its creation in an examination of my own past artistic endeavours—a myopic crop on a macro scale of archived paintings from 2014 to 2023. This collection serves as an invitation to engage in retrospective contemplation as I delve into the archives of my thoughts, feelings, and vicarious inspirations. By magnifying elements of my earlier works, these paintings become an amplified lens through which I reflect on the evolution of creative and visual communication.” – Zak Tilley, 2024.
