Jaz Corr joins Jennings Kerr

Corr’s work weaves cultural insight with social and environmental commentary.

Jennings Kerr welcomes Jaz Corr, a Dharawal artist from the South Coast of NSW, whose work offers a powerful exploration of contemporary Aboriginal life. Based in Kiaram-a (Kiama), Corr’s art combines rich cultural insight with critical reflections on social, political and environmental issues. Her pieces are celebrated for their visual impact and deep connection to her heritage and community.

Corr holds a Bachelor of Arts from Curtin University and a Master of Education from the University of Wollongong. Her work has reached national and international audiences, having exhibited in Sapporo Japan, Shoalhaven Regional Gallery, Sydney Living Museum, Gerringong Library and Museum, Illawarra Aboriginal Corporation Cultural Centre, Nan Tien Art Gallery, and featured on the ABC. She completed a Bundanon Artist Residency in 2022.

Alongside her artistic career, she is Head of Visual Arts at Vincentia High School, where she inspires young artists and leads Indigenous cultural programs. Her ongoing community projects, including work for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation and Shoalhaven Council, also underscore her commitment to cultural education and artistic expression.

Her first solo exhibition, Embrace, is scheduled for 2025.
