Elcho Island Arts

Elcho Island Arts is an Art Centre based in the community of Galiwin’ku. Elcho Island Arts is proudly owned and governed by the people of the Marthakal region, in north east Arnhem Land.

It looks to support artists from the Galiwin’ku community and the surrounding homelands of the region, facilitating the creation of work across a large spectrum of disciplines. Its primary focus is supporting artists of the region and preserving culture.

Operating out of the refurbished Old Clinic at the edge of the island, the Art Centre holds a rich and varied history and has represented numerous artists.
