Firstdraft Auction 2020 goes online

Firstdraft, one of Australia’s longest running artist-led organisations, is set to host it’s 11^th auction.

The annual Firstdraft Auction features art donated by many of Australia’s most noteworthy artists, allowing them to support emerging and experimental artists while providing an exceptional opportunity for collectors to acquire collectable pieces for a good cause.

Due to current circumstances, this year’s auction will be the first to be hosted entirely online. Additionally, in recognition of the difficulties affecting the art world at the moment, Firstdraft has doubled artist commissions to 50 per cent.

Half of the sale will go to the donor artists, and half will go to Firstdraft to be used to support the arts community and continue their exhibitions.

This year’s auction will take place from Thursday 17 to Sunday 27 September 2020.
