Finnish born artist Agneta Ekholm’s abstract paintings explore forces of energy and immortality with her soft, flowing organic shapes encompassing the perpetual motion of life. Created through a combination of imagined imagery and engagement with her technical process, mysterious forms and colours emerge. These are suggestive of the ice landscapes of her childhood along with light-play, water flow and movement. As she says “…Creating a new painting is like going into a new world that is both known and unknown…My paintings change and morph with time and experience, in just the way we, as people, are ever-evolving beings.”
