Olsen Gallery presents Noise, Sunset, Rush, an exhibition of new work by Elliott Routledge. The Sydney-based artist is celebrated for his abstract paintings, bold sculptures and large-scale public murals. These can be found across New South Wales, commissioned by tastemakers including City of Sydney, the University of Technology and Westfield.
“These works are my love letter to abstraction and to the mystifying process in which they are made. Small to large scale paintings become a field of unique marks and forms, where no object is the same, and the space between is just as important as the pieces themselves. I find paradise in the cracks. With this process, the works become somewhat of a reflection. A picture of me, of us, as complex and baffling as we all are.” Elliott Routledge
Opening night: Wednesday 31 August, 5 – 7pm
