Housed in a 1911 Edwardian heritage building that was formerly the Commercial Banking Company of Sydney, Bank Art Museum Moree (BAMM) is home to valuable culture and art.
Established in 1988, the gallery rebranded as BAMM in 2018. The new name reflects the contemporary edge of BAMM’s programs and highlights its history and responsibilities as
a collecting institution. Today, BAMM holds one of the largest collections of contemporary Indigenous art in regional NSW.
BAMM’s annual program features exhibitions bringing traditional and contemporary art and new media to regional NSW.
Now established as an annual event, the BAMM Art Fair (BAF) is the first arts event of its kind in the region. BAF is open to artists across Australia.
BAMM is supported by an active cultural community known as Friends of BAMM. Membership benefits include invitations to exhibitions and 25% off workshops as well as venue hire.
AWARDS
The Moree Portrait Prize is an annual non-acquisitive art award open to artists of all ages living in Australia. BAMM also offers an invitational Kamilaroi Artist Residency, promoting the practice of local and regional artists and Indigenous culture.
