New Director appointed at the Aotearoa Art Fair

Aotearoa Art Fair Appoints Sue Waymouth

On the back of one of its most successful years, the Aotearoa Art Fair, organized by Art Fairs NZ Ltd, has announced Sue Waymouth as the new Fair Director.

Sue brings a wealth of experience from her corporate marketing roles and deep involvement in the arts industry, including her positions as Co-Chair of Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki Contemporary Benefactors and past trustee of the Michael Hill Violin International Competition.

Sue says “I am excited about taking on the Fair Director role. I really enjoyed working with the new owners of the Aotearoa Art Fair, and I saw first-hand how their experience in running Art Fairs all around the world helped to make the 2024 Fair so successful. I am passionate about enhancing the arts ecology in Aotearoa and supporting artists, dealer galleries, art institutions, and collectors.”

Co-owner of the Aotearoa Art Fair, Tim Etchells says “We are delighted to announce that Sue Waymouth will be taking on the role of Fair Director for the Aotearoa Art Fair. Her background and passion for the arts make her an ideal leader, and we are confident that the Fair will continue to thrive and elevate the art fair experience for both exhibitors and visitors alike. We believe her leadership will bring fresh ideas, strong partnerships, and enhanced opportunities for all participants.”
