Abdul Abdullah
Today we’re at the home of artist Abdul Abdullah, playing Animal Crossing on Nintendo Switch.
Artworks Left to right: Vernon Ah Kee’s Unwritten (2011) – “bought from 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art fundraiser,” says Abdul. Ah Kee is represented by Milani Gallery in Brisbane; Jason Phu’s in the Holidays you get so Bored you go insane/in the Summer Heat I Have A Nap and have A terrible dream? (2017) and The Pain I have is Deeper than my Bones, But not As Deep As an Ocean of Flowers (2019). “Both were given to me by Jason for my birthday one year.” Phu is represented by Chalk Horse in Sydney.
Abdullah is represented by Yavuz Gallery in Singapore and Sydney.
