Judith Blackall

Here is curator Judith Blackall with a ceramic by Lynda Draper @lynda_draper titled Lidded Container (2014). Draper is head of Ceramics at the National Art School in Sydney. “She makes exquisite, whimsical forms with lively, colourful glazes. I think her work is wonderful – it is uplifting and achieves a sensitive balance between the artist’s hand, mind and eye,” says Judith. “This was a gift from the art school when I left NAS Gallery in 2019, I feel very fortunate to have it with me, especially in this strange and changed world.” Draper is represented by Gallerysmith in Melbourne
