ANNUAL LIVERPOOL ART SOCIETY EXHIBITION

This exhibition has been presented at Casula Powerhouse since 1998, and promotes the artistic talent of the local region. It is open to Liverpool Art Society members of all ages and has a range of prizes for a variety of categories and mediums including painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. There is over $13,000 worth of prizes, including a scholarship of $1,500 to go towards a solo exhibition at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre.

The Different Award Categories
The major prizes include the $5,000 Liverpool City Council Overall Winner Prize (acquisitive) and the $1,500 Casula Powerhouse Scholarship Prize. The winner of the scholarship is awarded the prize money and a solo show in the Marsden Gallery exhibition program. In addition, the prize offers the $750 ANZ Technical Excellence and the $750 ANZ Award for Innovation.
The special prizes include the $500 ANZ History Prize, which is open to both Youth and Adult entries. The $500 Werriwa Art Prize is open to adult entries and the work must relate to the Werriwa electorate (past and present) and be accompanied by a short-written explanation of the how the work reflects the electorate.
The category prizes include oil or encaustic painting, Acrylic Painting, Mixed Media, Watercolour or Pastel Painting, Drawing or Original Print, Photography / Digital works including video, Sculpture/Other 3D work, Ceramics, Youth (up to year 6) and Youth (Year 7 to Year 12).
